Episode 1The journey of Salmon from Norway to France
Our tender salmon starts its adventure in the Norwegian Fjords, where it will grow to reach the adequate weight before being caught and transported in refrigerated trailers throughout Europe experiencing extreme temperature variations, from Norway to the South of France…
Vector® 1950 MT
Using heat to keep cool – The ideal solution for transporting temperature-sensitive goods in extreme temperature conditions
Temperatures in Norway can go down to -40°C in some areas during the winter. Fresh salmon needs to be transported between 0-2°C.
The powerful Vector® 1950 MT unit helps to protect your sensitive cargo thanks to its high refrigeration capacity of 18 875 Watts, unparalleled pull down time, precise temperature control and homogeneous air distribution with 5 700 m3/h airflow.
The E-Drive all-electric technology provides a constant source of heating capacity, unlike traditional systems that rely on the refrigeration circuit to provide heat. In extremely cold ambient conditions, a traditional refrigeration system’s outlet condenser is exposed to the cold, and therefore cannot produce enough heat inside the trailer to overcome the ambient temperature. The Vector system’s heating feature is decoupled from cooling capacity, leading to an outstanding heating capacity of 9 500 Watts on the Vector 1950 MT.
In addition, the engine vent heater accessory helps to prevent frost or ice inside the engine breather. The heat is made by using coolant liquid. It permits an easy restart in cold ambient temperatures. Another add-on useful in cold climates is the fuel warmer that preventss fuel from freezing at filter level. It starts to warm when low temperatures are reached and enables an easy restart.More information
